MMCS/MSWCM AGM 2017
As we are at the beginning of the season and the AGM is just around the corner this is a brief update in advance of that. Members will be aware that it was necessary to move the AGM to the 3rd May 2017, 7.30pm in the Main Hall.

It would be useful if you have any matters to be discussed that you send them to the Management Secretary in advance of the meeting. This not only provides all members the opportunity to prepare for a reasoned discussion, but also for a proper decision to be reached.
First Tee garden area
There have been discussions on going for some time in relation to this area as we feel it does not provide an attractive arrival point to the club. Following the recent passing of Tom Hardie it has been decided to dedicate this area to his memory and as such a small team has been put together to further the project on behalf of the Management Team. We have already had offers of sponsorship for this from some members who wished to contribute to Toms memory and the team will be working towards this as soon as possible.
In order to raise some of the funding required, monies raised at the MMCS Charity day on the 29th April will go towards this providing a stunning entrance feature to the course. I would ask that as many members as possible contribute to this day and that if you wish to make a personal donation you contact Calum Smith, Head Professional or Arthur Reid and Jim Cunningham, Committee members, who are leading on the garden project.

The first charity day of the year has been organised by the Vice President, Jake McBride, the format of the day will be
4 man/lady team
Full handicap allowance
Best stableford score at odd holes and best 2 stableford scores at even holes Prizes 1st, 2nd 3rd,
Nearest the pin 6,14,16
Booking goes live this Thursday 20.04.2017 at 7pm on BRS
Entry will be £5 per player
Whilst there will not be a raffle on this occasion members are encouraged to take part in the club lotto which I currently sitting with a prize fund of £1820.00
And finally
More detailed updates on a number of exciting projects and advancements within the club will be given at the AGM and I would encourage as many members as possible to make the time to attend – this is after all your Club and we need your feedback and support to continue to move things forward.
