Greens:
Greens were scarified and top
dressed last month. The greens have recovered well from this aeration
programme and the putting surfaces are back to normal.
Cutting Height 3 mm.
The greens are in very good
condition and are putting very true.
The 6th Green continues to
impress, improving week by week, this has allowed us to reduce the height of
the cut to 5mm. further top dressing will be required to improve and level
the putting surface.
Tees:
Once again the 10th tee is
struggling to produce a quality playing surface, as a result soil samples
have been taken for analysis and we await the result. The temporary mat at
the 10th tee has been removed.
Gully:
The gully embankment has been
cut to a reasonable height, further areas have still to be looked at.
Rough:
As reported last month we were
experiencing difficulties maintaining the rough to a reasonable standard,
this was mainly due to machinery failure and these problems have now been
resolved.
Weed Spraying:
Last month the course was
sprayed with weed killer to control mainly daisies and other selected weeds,
once again this has been a great success.
Water fountain:
The burst pipe going to the
water fountain on the 8th tee has now been repaired and is working normally.
The water on the 15th fairway is
being monitored closely.
